Mochaware describes a type of Earthenware piece with slip bands used mainly in pubs and taverns from 1790s onwards and until the First World War and now highly prized as decorative items.  These eight one pint mugs are in outstanding condition and are possibly some of the best seen on the market in recent times.  Part of an important collection from a Norfolk country house that comprised over 30 pieces in all.  The eight listed for sale here date from approx. 1870-1914 and are in the classic Seaweed pattern
