Description

A St Louis Crystal Footed Decanter in the Tommy pattern.  “Tommy” was introduced in 1928 and was a tribute to British soldiers of the Great War. Tommy is still in production today and highly prized.  The Red Decanters are extremely rare, and we know that this one, being pre-signing, was produced very close to the launch date of 1928.  It is in very fine condition despite the fact that wear can be seen on the base. The only omission note is that the stopper peg is damaged towards the tip.  This however is far enough down to have no effect on how the stopper sits.  A remarkable, exceptionally rare and beautiful piece.
